What if we call a candidate at the same time as another recruiter?

Bullhorn is not able to update itself in real time, which occasionally results in multiple recruiters inadvertently calling the same candidate around the same time.

  1. When this occurs, it is best practice for both recruiters in question to reach out to each other and discuss a solution.
    1. Common practice in these cases is to determine which recruiter technically made first contact with the candidate in question.
  2. If a resolution is not reached after a good-faith discussion between recruiters, then things may be escalated to a manager.

Don't forget at the end of the day we are all on the same team – a single lead is not going to make or break any recruiter's desk and is certainly not worth creating bad vibes between Atlas team members.
