Running queries in Bullhorn

Running queries in Bullhorn

Learning to skillfully run queries in Bullhorn is an integral skill that Recruiters work to continually improve at over time. The below step-by-step guide offers a solid foundation for this skill that enables more advanced iterations later on.

  1. From the main Bullhorn dashboard, select "Menu"

  2. From the menu options that appear, select "Candidates"

  3. Click the "Search" bar near the top of the page

  4. Filter candidates by selecting your criteria
    1. Criteria to filter by; Discipline, Last Note, Date Added, Specialty, Status

    2. For "Status" Exclude the following attributes; Former Atlas, Placed, Pending Review Board, DNH, DNH - Sensitive or Include the following attributes; New Lead, Prospect, Prospect - Current Traveler

    3. Select any additional criteria while ensuring the "Last Note" date stays within Call Guidelines

  5. Once all filters are set click the blue "Search" button

  6. The sorting functions can be used to reorder results by category

    1. To manually reset the search and/or filter settings, click the red "Clear" button near the top-right

Categories can be moved and reorganized, HOWEVER, be mindful that these functions are "sticky", which means they will remain as set for future searches, rather than automatically resetting to default.
Note: The above is just an example query - best practice is to regularly iterate on your searches and filters so as to yield a greater number of candidates. HAPPY HUNTING!!! :)
