Adding a note in Bullhorn
Leaving detailed notes on candidate records is a vital skill to develop as it helps not only yourself but also our colleagues in other departments that will interact with candidate records along their journey. Follow the below steps to access candidate records and leave notes.
- Click on the "Find" button near the top-left to search for your candidate record by name, number, or email
Once the candidate record page loads, check to see whether the "Recent Notes" card appears as shown below - if Recent Notes
already appear on the candidate record page, proceed to step 3 further below
- If Recent Notes do not currently display you'll first need to enable them by clicking on the "Layout" tab off to the right
- Next click on the "Cards" subtab in the window that pops up
- Finally, click on "Recent Notes" to show it on the candidate record's page
3. Click the "Add +" button near the top-right corner of the Recent Notes card
4. Enter your note in the "Comments" field
5. Click the "Action" dropdown menu and select the appropriate mode of communication the added note is in reference to
6. Finally, click the blue "Save" button at the bottom-right of the page to add your note to the candidate record
7. Congratulations! You'll now see your note populate at the top of the Recent Notes card
